What’s not to like about an outreach program called “White House Youth?”
President Obama and his administration are looking to sway the hearts and minds of young people across the country in the creepiest way possible: through a Twitter hashtag called #WHYouth.
As part of an initiative called the “White House Youth Summit,” which takes place on December 4th, the administration will be giving youngsters the opportunity to “discuss the Affordable Care Act and other issues” with senior White House officials.
If that doesn’t attract millennials, nothing will.
Today, two days before the summit, the White House, in an effort to drum up interest in the surely doomed event, set-up a Google+ Hangout, asked young people to tweet questions to #WHYouth, and for some reason invited actor Kal Penn to tag along.
Officials sent out this tweet, which included the bizarre hashtag:

The similarity between #WHYouth and another youth program from 1920’s Germany did not go unnoticed by Twitter users. A flurry of hilarious tweets ensued:
