Brian Williams is a mad microphone wrecka.
In case you missed it, Brian Williams knows how to rap. Well, sort of. Actually, Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show team know how to make it look like Brian Williams knows how to rap. They combed through endless footage of the veteran anchor delivering the news, isolated single words out of that footage, and then edited those words together to show Williams “rapping” over popular hip-hop tracks.
Thus far, these edited compilations of Brian Williams rapping have appeared on Fallon’s previous gig Late Night with Jimmy Fallon five times, showing the anchor spit mad rhymes to the following dope beats:
- Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre – Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang
- Warren G – Regulate
- N.W.A. – Straight Outta Compton
- Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch – Good Vibrations
- Young MC – Bust a Move
On yesterday’s installment of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the fan-favorite sketch has returned, showing Brian Williams perform “Rapper’s Delight” by The Sugarhill Gang.
This is by far the best video of the series: it is three times longer than the previous attempts, it has a few surprise cameos, and it features an MC battle at the end.
