‘Dead Broke’ Comment Spawns Satirical ‘Hillary Clinton Fund for Broke Politicians’

During Diane Sawyer’s interview with Hillary Clinton, which aired on ABC News on Monday night, the former First Lady dropped a stunning revelation: that she and her husband Bill were “dead broke” when they left the White House in 2001.

Cue tiny violin.

Actually, as it turns out, the First Couple ended up making $12 million that year.

You just can’t make it in America anymore.

To help raise money for the poverty-stricken Clinton family, Caleb Bonham and Lauren Clark from Campus Reform headed to Georgetown University and, with donation bucket in hand, panhandled to students and asked if they would be willing to give to the “Hillary Clinton Fund for Dead Broke Politicians.”

Amazingly, some students fell for the ruse and decided to donate money to the cause, believing the Clintons to be completely destitute. Others, at least, were a little more skeptical and held onto their cash.

Fortunately for us, Campus Reform filmed the whole thing. Check out their video “The Hillary Clinton Fund for Broke Politicians” here:
